What we are for.

Vision

An Egyptian house whose products earn their place on shelf in every market they enter, not because they travelled far, but because they were built for where they landed.

Mission

We grow, source and produce food in Egypt, and build each product to the specification of the market that will sell it. We take responsibility for what we ship: consistent quality, documented compliance, and delivery that holds to the date on the contract.

Values

Specification before assumption

We build to the market, not to our own taste.

Origin discipline

Everything is traceable to where it was grown or made.

Delivery is a contract term

A date is a commitment, not an estimate.

Partnership over the single order

We price for the relationship, not the shipment.

Route to market

Two shelves, one standard.

Egypt

Modern Trade chains and organised retail, supported by distribution into branch networks, agreed delivery frequency, merchandising support and listing terms settled before launch rather than negotiated after it.

Orcha fresh produce runs the same route, in season.

Export

Africa and the Gulf as priority regions, with West Africa as the active corridor. Full and mixed container loads, FOB or CIF, own brand or private label.

Documentation prepared ahead of shipment. Lead times quoted as commitments and held.

Leadership

Amgad Abdallah

Founder and Managing Partner

Twenty five years in retail, spent on the side that decides what reaches a shelf and what stays on it.

Amgad built his career in retail real estate across Egypt and the region, leasing and managing the shopping centres that consumer brands compete to enter. City Stars, Palm Hills Developments and Pradera, followed by a decade inside one of the region’s largest mall operators, running City Centre Maadi and then Mall of Egypt before taking regional director responsibility across the West Region.

Two decades on the landlord’s side is an education most operators never receive. Which categories move and which stall. How a category manager actually decides. What separates a brand that holds its shelf from one that is delisted after a season.

His work then moved outward, into expansion and business development across West Africa, carrying Egyptian consumer brands into new markets and learning at first hand what those markets want rather than what Egypt assumes they want.

Grove is where that retail and commodities fluency meets a long standing involvement in agriculture.

From reading shelves to producing for them. From managing the assets that trade consumer goods, to trading them.

Board

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar

Board Member

Turnaround and transformation architect, brought in where conventional playbooks fail.

More than twenty five years across multinationals, founder led companies and high risk transformation environments, including Gillette, PepsiCo and CB&I, followed by full spectrum restructures spanning finance, operations, go to market, governance and culture.

Since 2016 he has worked directly with founders, boards and funds as a chief executive, interim executive or board advisor, taking responsibility for outcomes rather than for advice. The work concentrates on activating underused assets, correcting misaligned incentives, and building operating systems that scale without becoming fragile.

On Grove’s board he carries commercial architecture, financial discipline and governance.
